Hayden is a rising junior who is fast becoming a team leader on defense for Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan. Kubasaki is close to 7,000 miles away from the closest mainland, U.S. college but his play on the field and his 3.5 grade point average will attract many college coaches and programs across the country.
The 6’1” linebacker is looking to impress many colleges this summer with camps planned for University of Virginia, The U.S. Naval Academy, Wake Forest University, The University of South Carolina, and The Pennsylvania State University.
Williamson is looking to anchor the defense for the Kubasaki Dragon football team, coached by longtime Pacific legend, Fred Bales. Williamson, along with a group of improved upperclassmen hope to challenge for a Pacific championship this season.
Take a look at the responses Williamson had to lessons one and two from the PTRG Academy. His answers to the question show that he’s learning quickly how to master the recruiting process in the PTRG Academy…
As you have progressed through the program, what are some of the things that stand out in your mind. What have you learned so far and how can that information you’ve learned be used in your everyday life?
The most intriguing thing that stood out to me was how busy the head coach’s job is. Now that I know how well he plans his day out I will be able to consider and be more prepared before the day even starts. I learned how to properly organize my day and I have already put that into my own schedule. I will be using my knowledge of how to talk to coaches now for the future.
Have you begun to use what you’ve learned to start implementing your time management?
Yes I have started to use my time more wisely in school to get homework done so I can focus more on my workouts and my recruiting.
Do you understand what Discretionary Scholarships are? If so give an example of one?
Yes, a Discretionary Scholarship are non-compensatory scholarships based on future or continuing educational activity and an example would be money for books, fees and other educational services.
Do you understand what a National Letter of Intent is?
Yes a national letter of intent is a binding agreement between the student athlete and the school. When you sign with a school you are signing with the national letter of intent.
After completing Creating the Ultimate List of Colleges were you aware of this information prior to seeing it here?
No I wasn’t, I had no idea how many colleges I was missing looking at… I was only looking for the region I wanted when I should have been looking around the whole country.
As you’ve reached this point in the process, how would you describe what the PTRG Academy is to another student athlete that knows nothing about the program?
PTRG is an academy where you can get your mindset for what colleges want. It prepares you for the next level by teaching you everything you need to know about the recruiting game
