Just Because a Coach Has Viewed Your Profile, Doesn’t Mean You are Being Recruited

During the college football recruiting process, a coach will look at hundreds – maybe even thousands – of profiles. You have to grab their attention, first, and then, hold onto it so that they keep you shortlisted throughout the entire recruitment process. This is best accomplished methodically, and over time.

This all-important procedure should be approached from a business-like angle. By putting in the work necessary in the classroom, and on the field, you can learn how to make your profile conspicuous within the highly competitive world of athletic scholarships. Staying organized, implementing a well-thought-out plan and following up with your top tier schools are the cornerstones of a successful campaign that results in you getting paid to earn your degree while playing your favorite sport.

Even if your academic career has been less than stellar, it is possible to close those recruitment gaps, and even use them to your advantage. By increasing your efforts, showing recruiters that you bounce back from adversity and executing a solid plan of action, you can prove that you have the drive that is needed to succeed, both on the field and off.
