After completing Lesson 6 Bent says,”I never knew how the financial aid and money would play its role for me, and neither did I know how it works through the college and the coach”
When asked, “As you have progressed through the program, what are some of the things that stand out in your mind. What have you learned so far and how can that information you’ve learned be used in your everyday life?” Shannon replies, “What stands out in my mind is the recruiting process and the financial aspect to get you through college. I learned that you have to understand and be smart about picking your offers, choosing the offer that’s best and will lead you to being debt free after college.”
Then Bent was asked, “As you’ve reached this point in the process, how would you describe what the PTRG Academy is to another student athlete that knows nothing about the program?” Shannon says, “I would tell the student athlete that it’s a recruiting game that’ll put you on the right path of getting into college on a coach’s roster and also lead you through to the end of college.”
“I would tell the student that is a recruiting game program that gives you more knowledge about getting to the next level and that you learn more on how to prepare for college coach meetings with you. Also in the end you’ll be rewarded.”
Take a look at some other things Shannon has learned while taking the online program…
“Things that stand out to me are the coaches busy life and the whole recruiting processes. I’ve learned that your academics are an important aspect to your recruiting process and a way to use this in everyday life is showing up to school and doing work assigned by the teacher.”
